Woodside Cottage

Welcome to Woodside Cottage, newly renovated original Gamekeepers cottage, rooted in the heart of Harewood Estate woodland with plenty of paths to explore.

The drive to the cottage winds itself through the Woodland (and in some places uneven road) for about a mile, taking in breathtaking views of Harewood House and lake and passing an old stone bridge, ponds, waterfalls and often plenty of wildlife to be seen en route .

As you tun the corner, Woodside Lodge sits first on the right and then Woodside cottage where you will find ample parking for 3 cars and an EV point.

A stone flagged path leads to the front door and into the hallway where to the left is a spacious dining room with high ceilings and an outdoorsy theme. The dining table is set for 6 people, but an extension and additional chairs can be requested if entertaining guests. Theres also a cosy log burner

To the right you’ll find yourself in the living room with another wood burner, ample comfy seating and 64-inch smart TV.  

Go through into a large traditional kitchen with a breakfast bar and 4 bar stools. The kitchen is fitted with, Integrated fridge freezer, full size dishwasher, 4 burner induction hob with down draft extraction, built in oven and additional combi oven microwave. Other modern appliances include a Nespresso vertuo machine and milk frother.

The kitchen door leads to the utility room with washer dryer. A warm area for hanging coats and drying boots. Then further through to the downstairs toilet.

Upstairs there are three double bedroom each with an ensuite.

The Master, with views across the front of the cottage, has a fixed super king bed with a 42-inch smart TV and built in dressing area. The en-suite boasts a free standing white modern white bath with free standing shower mixer tap.

Bedroom 2 with both front and side outlook has a zip / link Super king bed which can also be set as a twin on request. The ensuite has a bath with rain dance shower.

Bedroom 3, the smallest of the three, also has a zip / link Super king bed and en- suite with walk in rain dance shower.

Outside the grounds surround the whole house.  The rear of the property has a raised stone flagged patio area, with alfresco dining for 10 people, a built in BBQ and fire pit. A beautiful outlook but plenty of privacy. The side elevation gives views across farm fields. A small, planted area at the front of the cottage has a bench to enjoy peace and tranquility and looks over a communal grassed area and into woodland. The surrounding area is there to enjoy and explore but please stay on the pathways as our forestry team may be working in the area at any time.
