East Lodge

Welcome to East Lodge, a one-bedroom cottage, the former Gatehouse to Harewood Estate. The cottage was an original 17^th century small Farmhouse , later converted to a Gatehouse to provide secure access to Harewood Castle,  Church and  parkland. The cottage sits in Harewood Village itself, just outside the Estate walls.  Guest can enjoy the same benefits of all our holiday cottages.

Parking is at the front of the property to the left of the roped grassed lawn area and access into the cottage is through the beautiful Arched Gothic style doorway leading directly into a spacious living room.

This room is bright and airy with windows to three sides.  It’s home to a Cosy Wood Burner as well as central heating throughout , comfortable sofa, dining table and chairs and  a  43’’ smart TV

The door leads to a fully fitted modern kitchen providing ample storage, with Induction hob, electric oven, integrated dishwasher, Fridge freezer and a breakfast bar with 2 stools. The cupboards are stocked with all the tableware and kitchen equipment you should need during your stay.

Stairs off the sitting room take you upstairs to a large Master bedroom with a Hypnos bed which can be set as a super king double bed or twin as preferred.  The newly refurbished House bathroom features a rain dance shower over the bath.

The external Kitchen door leads to a fully enclosed, dog friendly garden with a picnic table, parasol, BBQ and fire pit. A washing machine is located in the property’s outhouse, which also provides ideal lockable bike storage.
