Country Living Magazine Harrogate Christmas Fair

Country Living Magazine’s Christmas Fair returns to the nearby Harrogate International Centre this December with over 300 exhibitors’ stands to explore, from artisan designers to regional food producers. 2019 National Cross Country Championships

February 23

The National Cross Country Championships return to the beautiful surroundings of the Harewood Estate this February. A Fulham Running Club based entry event, women tackle an 8k while men compete in a 12k with fantastic landscapes helping competitors on their way round this adrenaline-pumping challenge. Find out more

Velo 29 York – Leeds – York Sportive

One of the foremost sportives in the early cycling season, the Velo 29 York to Leeds to York Sportive is a stimulating series of three routes passing by the famous sights of historic York. Suiting all abilities with course distances ranging from 41 to 100 miles, the medium and long routes take in the spectacular surroundings of Harewood House. Find out more

Tour de Yorkshire passes Harrogate

May 3

One of the most eagerly anticipated events in Britain’s sporting calendar, the Tour de Yorkshire was created in 2015 following the success of the 2014 Tour de France that visited the county. Drawing spectators from far and wide between 2-5 May, the road race covering a total distance of 617.5km passes nearby Harrogate on May 3. Find out more

Outdoor Theatre presents A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream

Come and bask in the splendour of William Shakespeare’s best loved comedy, A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream at Harewood Estate’s Outdoor Theatre this June. A play enjoyed the world over; lose yourself in this love-filled tale set in Athens with an enchanted forest, woodland fairies, a handsome fairy king and star-crossed lovers transporting you to the roguish land of make-believe.

Back by popular demand, Open Air Cinema returns to the Harewood Estate this September with The Luna Cinema presenting three nights of classic cinema under the night sky. With the films yet to be confirmed, kick back in the company of friends and family amidst the stunning backdrop of the 18th century Harewood House.

2019 UCI Road World Championships

September 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29

The world’s best cyclists converge on Yorkshire in September at the 2019 UCI Road World Championships, the most prestigious event the international road cycling calendar. The fourth event of its format to be held in the UK, nearby Harrogate was announced as the host for two circuit races back in July 2017. Find out more
